Rooted in the heart of the Midwest and based in Midtown Cleveland, we serve Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Detroit, and Pittsburgh, bringing a unique blend of style, sustainability, and community focus to every event.

Our collection features a mix of handcrafted pieces and thoughtfully selected rentals that reflect our commitment to quality and design. Whether it's a wedding, corporate event, or styled photoshoot, we collaborate closely with our clients to bring their vision to life, ensuring each event is as unique as they are.

Ann King: Founder

I started Borrow in 2012 in the back of my husband’s business garage with a simple belief: people need art, design and beautiful things in their everyday lives.

What began with a collection of modern, handmade and antique furniture grew from my love of creating spaces that feel personal, unexpected and full of story. I’ve always believed that everyone is an artist in their own way—and when the space around you reflects who you are, there’s something incredibly powerful about it.

With a BA in Creative Writing from Miami University and a childhood spent immersed in theatre, art and writing, creativity has always been part of how I see the world. Borrow became the place where all of those things came together: design, storytelling, problem-solving, people and, of course, really great furniture.

More than a decade later, I still genuinely love what I do—and especially the people I get to do it with and for.

When I’m not doing something Borrow, you’ll usually find me with the people I love most: Ryan, Pete + Clara, along with my beloved family and friends.

Lucy Burns: Logistics + Product Manager

As Logistics + Product Manager at Borrow Curated, I oversee the seamless movement and lifecycle of our inventory from warehouse to event and back again. I focus on optimizing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring every piece arrives in pristine condition and on time. From sourcing and product development to inventory management and operational strategy, I work closely with our team to elevate both the client experience and internal workflows. My role bridges creativity and logistics—bringing thoughtfully curated pieces to life while maintaining the systems that keep everything running smoothly. In my free time, you can usually find me exploring local thrift and antique shops in search of unique finds, or taking long walks with my golden retriever, Anakin.

Meet the Borrow Back Of House Leaders!  They are our leaders onsite, installers, drivers, makers, carpenters, upholsterers, and painters. What’s interesting about these dynamic folks is for six months out of the year they focus on making furniture and decor in our Borrow Builds department. For the other six months of the year, they become event specialists, installers, and drivers. We do setups all over the Midwest and participate in some of the largest, most innovative, and most interesting events in the most insane venues.  None of that would be possible without our BOH leaders!
