Corporate Party. Even saying that statement can feel a little ‘blah.’ There is nothing stiffer than the word “corporate,” am I right? However, a few trailblazers out in our market are trying to squash that stigma. Corporate businesses are crawling back to in-person life after the pandemic. With that, we have a select amount of event pros showing our events community there is nothing ‘blah’ about a kick-ass corporate event. Read on to see some of the beautiful work, additional ideas and why it’s important in corporate events.
Detroit Cultivated is a luxury events business in Detroit, MI. Their team recently produced a political fundraiser at a personal residence on the beautiful Lake Michigan. They procured two different events under 1 tent on two separate days. They flipped the tent from white to black, and this design is anything but just black and white.
Outside Columbus, Oh the wonderful people at The Campfire Experience recently brought Borrow in to help them outfit their amazing tee pees and tents for an Employee Party. What I loved about this design is they used the idea of smaller intimate moments within their tee pees to create experiences for this company’s staff that broke up the feeling of just being in a large crowd. The visual aesthetic of all the Tee Pees on this company’s grounds was also an incredible site to see.
Why are we seeing Corporate Events spring back to life in a creative way? Christine Grapo is the Marketing Events Manager at Cohen & Company. She explains, “they (corp events) are a great way to show clients they are valued and appreciated, and can also provide opportunities to align the brand with other organizations or industry events.” Her main goal “is always for our internal and external guests to have an excellent experience and for our brand to be represented in the best possible light.”
Not all events can happen outside of the midwest. With Christmas around the corner and the snow starting to fall, our Corporate events move from the outside. We loved how Kirkbrides Planning + Design brought Borrow’s large-scale swing into the Cleveland Museum of Art. The swing brought a whimsical and fun element to the event. The swing being 10ft tall, is also an excellent opportunity to show and add company signage.
Engaged with Nora is a planning and design company based in Cleveland, Ohio. They used Borrow’s Harmony Wall to create a cool experience for guests as they found their seats at an event at Gordon Green. We love this for corporate events because of the branding opportunity at the top. You can use this for a logo, value statement, or company goal. The shelves would also work great to display marketing materials for a trade show.
Cold outside, and you want it to feel warm inside? Here we covered the Harmony wall with Boxwood for the wonderful people at Aultman Hospital for the Angel Benefit. They also brought a fantastic bar setup to continue their garden theme. We love a good garden theme in winter in the midwest! It is unexpected and cozy.
We must shout out to another fabulous Corporate Designer + planning Company: Your Creative Muse out of Columbus, Ohio. Below they used our Ice Cream Cart to serve up the branding (and some yummy drinks.) Talk about making a statement at your store opening!
