February 5, 2024Five top 2024 Event Trends
We have another event year upon us! In the office season here in the midwest event designers and professionals start diving into the planning and designing process for 2024 clients. Here at Borrow we’re not only prepping orders… we are prepping and buying new inventory as well;) Here are five top 2024 Event + Wedding Trends we can’t wait to start working on.
1. Statement Color:
This beautiful green hue can be found in the seating, the linens, the greenery, the band backdrop, bar, and more! Stephanie Anter of Kirkbrides did an amazing job designing and planning this beautiful event. The trick with using a statement color is making sure it doesn’t feel too heavy. What we love most about Kirkbride’s production is the gentle balance of neutrals and gorgeous florals by Plantscaping and Blooms.

2. Whimsical Lighting Options:
We have seen lighting make and/or break an event. When done well it is the mark of a truly beautifully designed soiree. We love how A Charming Fete utilized these Extra Large Lantern Chandeliers made by Borrow to bring a gorgeous touch of floral from Sue Bernhard and warm light to the ceiling of this wow-worthy wedding at the Shoreby Club in Cleveland, Oh.

Tabletop lighting is also a fantastic way to bring in warm light. This mix of candlelight, floral by Beyond the Barnyard Flower Co., and tabletop lamps by Borrow bring in a unique and warm touch that creates a feeling of being at someone’s home instead of at a large event.

3. RED
It’s not just an album- it’s a state of mind! We love red not just for our winter events but all year round and we are marking RED as THE color for 2024. This shoot produced by Maggie Mitchell Events and Molly Taylor + Co. with Borrow Curated Furniture + Tabletop decor nails the design of Summertime Red.
4. Adding wood tones to the black-and-white color concept.
A black-and-white event has been around forever. It is classic, timeless, modern, and all of the above. But we love how planners, like Engaged with Nora and Peji Kash Events, have integrated wood tones with this modern look. It brings in an additional element that brings some depth to this design.

5. Classic vs. Overtly Trendy:
Classic vs. Trendy has been an ongoing discussion. Which design avenue to take is always at least one part of the discussion. For 2024 we’re going with Classic! Classic designs are designs that have been repeated multiple times throughout history and take on a fresh look if done well. They are tried and true because they are unmistakably beautiful. This event in Detroit, Michigan produced by Detroit Cultivated brings us English Estate Garden vibes that feel as though they could have come straight from a castle. The gorgeous floral was designed by Niloo Rosi Designs and photography by Christina Harrison at the historic Bas BlueVenue with bar, chair, and plateware from Borrow Curated.
Here is to a fabulous 2024!
